Physical Therapy

Physical therapy is a conservative approach to assist with pain conditions, injuries, or preventing future injuries. Physical therapy helps promote, maintain, or restore health through physical examination, diagnosis, prognosis, patient education, physical intervention, rehabilitation, disease prevention, and health promotion. Pelvic floor physical therapy is a specialized area of physical therapy to address pelvic pain, incontinence, and prolapse conditions.

How it works

New Physical Therapy Appointment: General or Pelvic Floor

Select if you would like a general musculoskeletal examination (i.e. low back pain, elbow pain, difficulty running/ walking/ lifting, neck pain, etc.) or if your condition is specific of a pelvic floor condition (i.e. prolapse, pelvic pain, urinary or fecal incontinence).

The physical therapist will evaluate your condition and create a treatment plan specialized for you and your goals. Included in the initial visit will be some treatment and a home plan will be established.

Return Physical Therapy Appointment: General or Pelvic Floor

This is where we will review our first visit as needed and answer any further questions and get into the treatment of your condition. Manual therapy techniques with a hands-on approach as well as exercises to return to your goals.

New Dry Needling Appointment

Dry Needling is a modality used to treat muscle tissue with a goal to reduce pain, inactivate trigger points, and restore overall function of the muscle. It is recommended to be used in conjunction with physical therapy treatments as an add on service to your therapy session. If you have not been seen by Dr. Karrie and would like to be seen for dry needling, this appointment will include a brief evaluation followed by dry needling on up to 2-3 body parts.

Return/Established Dry Needling Appointment

As an established patient of Dr. Karrie’s, dry needling can be booked as a stand alone or add-on service. This appointment can include up to 2-3 body parts.

Add-on Dry Needling

Including dry needling for one body part can be added on to any physical therapy appointment.
